The Experience
Initial Chat:
We start with a relaxed get-to-know-you call (or coffee if local). I want to hear how you met, what you imagine for your wedding, and what moments you value most. This helps me plan what to focus on in your film.
Before the Big Day:
I’ll work with your planner or with you on the timeline to ensure we have golden light for that dreamy couple footage, and that I’m prepared for any special surprises (fireworks? a choreographed dance? I’m in!). You’ll fill an easy questionnaire so I know family names, must-capture moments, and any sensitive situations to be aware of. By the time your wedding arrives, I feel like a friend of the family who happens to have a camera.
On Your Wedding Day:
I arrive early and go about filming in a calm, unobtrusive way. For the most part, you won’t even notice me – I believe the best moments happen naturally. But I’ll be there directing lightly when it’s time for romantic sunset shots or when we’re recording personal messages. My second shooter and I coordinate to cover multiple angles (your walk down the aisle, his reaction shot). From prep to party, we’ve got it covered.
Your Films:
While you’re on honeymoon, I’ll be hard at work editing. Within a week, you get a sneak-peek trailer to relive the excitement. Then over the next few weeks, I meticulously craft your feature film – weaving in your vows, the music, and all the laughter and happy tears. You’ll receive your highlight film, plus the full ceremony and speeches, in a beautiful online gallery (and a keepsake USB). We can even host a viewing night together if you’re local – tissues provided!
